Founded in 2019, Origins Dance Company Kenya is a leading performance company shaped by rigorous training, artistic ambition, and a commitment to excellence. Dancers are trained through The Academy of Dance and Art across ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap, creating a versatile company capable of both original contemporary works and full-scale classical productions.

Juliet Duckworth
Founder & Artistic Director
Juliet Duckworth is the founder and artistic director of Origins and director of The Academy of Dance and Art. She trained at Tring Park School for thePerforming Arts (2011–2015) before continuing at Central School of Ballet inLondon.
She has choreographed and performed worldwide, including UB40 2020(Kenya), and has danced internationally in various productions. Notable rolesinclude Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, and Kitri inDon Quixote. Her expertise spans Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary.
Productions & Repertoire
Origins has built a diverse repertoire of both original contemporary works and full-scale classical productions. Contemporary pieces include UN-Flow, Bodies Talk, Contemporaine, The Origin of Mankind, The Swan Lake Contemporary, Home, and Voulez-Vous. The company has also performed classical ballet titles such as Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, and The Sleeping Beauty.
