Juliet Duckworth

CO-Founder | Instructor

Juliet Duckworth is the Founder and Director of The Academy of Dance and Art, where she has been instrumental in shaping one of Nairobi’s leading dance training institutions.

With a strong foundation in classical ballet and dance education, Juliet has developed a structured and disciplined training environment that supports dancers at every stage — from early years through to advanced and pre-professional levels. Her teaching emphasises technical precision, musicality, and artistic expression, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded dance education.

Juliet is particularly passionate about creating clear progression pathways for her students, guiding them through internationally recognised training frameworks such as the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. Her approach balances high standards with a supportive atmosphere, allowing dancers to grow in both confidence and ability.

Beyond the studio, Juliet has played a key role in fostering performance opportunities for students, helping bridge the gap between training and stage experience. Through her work with the Academy and its connection to Origins Dance Company Kenya, she continues to support the development of young dancers into confident performers.
